The HSC Physics examination is worth 100 marks. Section I is 20 multiple-choice questions, 1 mark each, with about 35 minutes suggested. These practice exams reproduce that section's format and difficulty.
These questions are written to the NESA Physics Stage 6 Syllabus (2017), which is the syllabus examined in the HSC up to and including 2027.
NESA's new Physics 11–12 Syllabus (2025) is taught to Year 11 from Term 1 2027 and to Year 12 from Term 4 2027, and is first examined in the 2028 HSC. Practice for the new syllabus will be added as a separate set from 2027, or when applicable, in line with NESA's implementation timeline. The current set will stay available for students sitting the 2026 and 2027 examinations.
